On the eve of the Electoral Commission of South Africa’s first registration weekend ahead of November’s local government elections, EFF leader Julius Malema gave notice in a government gazette that he intends to introduce a Private Member’s Bill to automatically register people who are eligible to vote, on the voters’ roll.
