A bitter defamation battle between Professor Adam Mendelsohn of UCT and anti-Zionist activist Megan Choritz has escalated into a free speech fight, with Choritz asking the Western Cape High Court to dismiss his R500 000 claim, accusing him of using “lawfare” to silence her criticism of Israel and the Gaza war.
