Forty-nine-year-old Nkosinathi "Marks" Zenani, who died as a result of a freak accident while at work on Friday, was an employee of the East London Golf Club in KuGompo City for more than two decades.
He was the father of three and the sole breadwinner for his Mdantsane family.
Zenani was preparing to send his second-born son to initiation.
