There was so much riding on the hard-shell back of Crush, the 47kg green turtle (Chelonia mydas) which was helped to return to the wild ocean by the wonderful staff of the EL Museum on Tuesday.
In the small group at the Corner on Buffalo City metro’s Nahoon Beach were people who had donated R100 or more to help this creature — which, when it swims, flows in the ocean like a silent mellifluous stream — to recover from the actions of a human who has no idea what they did.
