With hundreds of state-owned properties across the Eastern Cape hijacked, the Eastern Cape Development Corporation plans to stop paying millions for services in a bid to force out squatters.
ECDC spokesperson Malithathwe Nombewu confirmed recently that the entity managed 817 properties, with 1,736 lettable units across the province.
