A disgraced Eastern Cape cop who raped a 17-year-old inside a police station in August 2022 was sentenced to 20 years behind bars on Friday.
Former Sergeant Thembalethu Gqeku, 50, was found guilty by the Qumrha regional court this week.
Gqeku raped the victim inside the detectives' office at Kei Mouth police station in August 2022.
