A victim-impact report read out in the East London high court on Wednesday painted a grim picture of how a 14-year-old girl who was raped and impregnated by her 42-year-old foster brother sometimes wanted to kill herself and her baby.
The report, prepared by clinical psychologist Phumza Sakasa, said the girl was now repeating grade 6 due to the birth of her son six months ago.
