It was a tough opening day for the Eastern Cape’s two main sides in the U13 Craven Week rugby tournament at Selborne College on Monday, with Border Central and Eastern Province suffering defeats.
Border B came to the hosts' rescues as they were the only team with a victory.
In the main game of the day, Border Central started well but eventually lost 22-5, while earlier Eastern Province were outplayed by Western Province 31-7.
