Allegations of threats and counter-threats on Friday threw a spanner in the works at the judicial conduct tribunal investigating allegations of sexual harassment against Eastern Cape judge president Selby Mbenenge.
Which parties had made the threats and counter-threats remained a mystery.
It was also uncertain whether the issue related to death threats reportedly received in early June by the complainant, Makhanda high court secretary Andiswa Mengo.
