A persistent conflict over illegal electricity connections between RDP homeowners and informal shack dwellers in Scenery Park escalated on Thursday as residents of the Zibonele informal settlement burned tyres and blockaded an access road.
The fray between the communities is in its third week and has seen damage to people’s RDP houses and the burning of shacks.
