In a resounding victory for transparency and accountability, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has won a landmark international arbitration against Power Distribution Services Ghana Ltd (PDS), marking the end of a four-year legal saga that tested the integrity of Ghana’s energy sector reforms. The Tribunal, convened under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules and seated at the International Dispute Resolution Centre in London, issued its Final Award on November 3, 2025.
