Former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has been assured of a resounding victory in Krachi Nchumuru constituency on January 31, 2026, when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) goes to the polls to elect its 2028 presidential candidate. Krachi Nchumuru, during the 2023 NPP primaries, gave Dr. Bawumia the highest winning margin in the Oti Region with a 96% victory, and the constituency has vowed to do even better in January.
